At the Mt. Pleasant Discovery Museum, we have two large multi-purpose community rooms that are                great for birthday parties and a variety of other events such as:

  • Graduation Parties       
  • Bridal Showers
  • Baby Showers
  • Pre-School Graduations
  • Meetings
  • Staff Holiday Parties
  • and Much More!

   Rental Rates

  • One community room without museum access during business hours: $50/hr
  • One community room without museum access before or after business hours: $75/hr
  • One community room with museum access during business hours: $150 for 2 hours
  • Rent the entire museum plus one community room after hours for a private party: $175/hr (2 hour minimum booking required)

A 50% non-refundable, transferrable only deposit is due upon reservation to reserve a space. 


Our community rooms can be combined to become one extra-large universal space or separated to become two private party spaces for multiple groups at once. 

The rooms feature open layouts filled with natural light. Each room includes: refrigerator, freezer, microwave, sink, tables, chairs (adult & child sizes), and a face painting option!

Museum staff members will always be present to help with each room reservation. 

*We offer a 50% discount for Non-Profit Organizations and a 10% discount to MPDM members on all rental rates.
